Some of the greatest moves I’ve seen so far in my life have occurred and are occurring in Harvest Fellowship Christian School. God is after a generation that will abandon their lives whole-heartedly to Him! I saw this last spring as we had a genuine youth revival erupt, and it’s happening again!

On March 7th, ‘glory dust’ began to manifest on one of the high school girls during Algebra class! That’s right, I said Algebra class! We have been having this manifestation occur in not only our school and church for the last year and a half, but it has spread into the homes and churches of many of our students. It’s a sign that makes you wonder! This young lady was quite shocked, having never experienced anything like this before.

The following morning, during our morning chapel service, it began to manifest on this young lady again during worship. The ‘glory dust’ then began to spread among some of the high school students. I had them walk among the students, laying hands on student and teachers, including me! Several present began to experience laughter and became ‘drunk in the spirit’ as this occurred.

As this was happening, Martha Summers, one of our teachers, began to see an angel moving among the crowd. The angel was hanging ‘SOLD’ tags on many of the students and teachers. He was watching and then choosing which ones he could hang the tag on. As Martha shared this with us, I encouraged all of the students to sell out completely to the things of God and pursue Him. We began to worship and soak in the Presence of God further.

As this was happening, many of the younger students began to see visions and hear the Spirit speaking certain things. One student saw God praying for us. Another heard God telling us He loved ALL of us. A high school girl saw God giving us a big, tight hug and telling us - “you can push back, but I am not letting you go”. Another elementary student declared it was time to wake up.

We could feel the seriousness of the Father calling us to Him, but at the same time promising to not let go of us. It was an amazing time, one that was further setting the stage for more.

God is calling us! How can we not respond to His call?

When the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost, Acts 2:2 says “…suddenly there came a noise like a violent, rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.”

And that wasn’t all. Tongues of fire rested on each believer, and they all began to speak with other tongues! It was so extreme, that people thought they were drunk! I don’t know about you, but when I’m around people speaking other languages, I generally don’t think they are drunk. I generally think people are drunk when they stagger, laugh, fall down, etc! Did people think that early believers were drunk because they spoke in tongues, or was it because they literally acted drunk? It’s something to think about!

Extreme? By most modern day church standards – yes! And yet the Bible is filled with radical moves by the Holy Spirit. What about the apostle Paul? He gets knocked off a horse and blinded for three days during his conversion experience, which included a light from heaven and an encounter with Jesus. Can you imagine if someone got saved like that in a church today? Most of us would questions if it was the Lord. Many would say it was demonic!

These are only two examples, but many others fill both the Old and New Testament. What about Paul’s account of his being caught up to the third heaven in 2 Corinthians 2? He had such a powerful revelation of Jesus that he didn’t know if he was in the body or out of the body.

Paul wasn’t alone in the glorious things he experienced. John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, also was caught up in powerful heavenly encounters that resulted in the book of Revelation. Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Mary….the Scripture is full of accounts of people that experienced extreme things.

So why do we struggle when God does things that seem unusual? I read a quote today by Eric Johnson, a pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, California, that really resonated with me:

“If you ask for the Kingdom, be prepared to see things you may not understand.”

I write all this to give an introduction to what I will be blogging about in the upcoming days. In the last days, we have been seeing an increase in unusual things at Harvest Fellowship, both in the church and the school. I’m attempting to create a foundation for people to receive some of the things that are happening.

One other thing I must add. I don’t just run after experiences. And when they happen, I ask one big question – are they directing me and others towards Jesus?

My answer to what I see happening in this season is yes! Stay tuned for part 2….it’s coming soon!

A Redemptive Call

<itunes:author>Harvest Fellowship</itunes:author>

It’s impossible not to live in an atmosphere of intercession for years without it becoming a part of your spiritual DNA. The years I spent at Family of Faith in Shawnee, OK, were instrumental in imparting a heart of intercession for the nations. Sam and Kathy Matthews carry an apostolic and intercessory mantle that is contagious; it permeates every part of the ministries of Family of Faith. With spiritual mentors like the Matthews, how could I not be influenced by a heart of intercession for the nations? When the Lord directed me to start Harvest Fellowship, I knew that one of our mandates would be establishing a house of prayer for all the nations, but we would be called to do more than pray. We would raise up a generation that would go as well.
On December 7, 2011, I went into our morning Chapel at Harvest Fellowship Christian School with only one purpose – to worship Jesus! We had no plan other than that, but one thing was very much on the heart of the Holy Spirit that morning. Seventy years after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, we suddenly found ourselves as a school captivated by a weighty intercession for Japan.
I was suddenly deeply impacted by the fact that 70 years is significant in Scripture. In Daniel 9, Daniel was struck by the fact that the 70 years of desolation during which Judah would serve the King of Babylon was ending. Jeremiah had prophesied this, but he had also prophesied a time of great restoration in Jeremiah 29:10, a time when “…I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you…” Daniel immediately turned His attention to the Lord, seeking Him with prayer and supplications for his nation’s destiny .
Most of those who know me are aware of the years my family spent in Japan and the deep love we have for the Japanese people. It was almost traumatic when Father directed us back to the USA, but now we see more clearly what God is birthing through the ministries of Harvest Fellowship. During the December 7 Chapel, that deep love for Japan overwhelmed us as intercessions for this land rose up with intense fervor. I pray and believe that this love is being imparted to a generation that will go further and run faster than we have at this point!
I continue to hear reports about how much Japan is changing at this moment, perhaps catalyzed by the March 11 disasters and fueled by the prayers and ministries of faithful believers in that nation. I believe 70 years after Pearl Harbor the Lord’s redemptive purposes for Japan are coming forth in great power and promise. I am struck by the reality that God is always working to bring His promises into fulfillment, even when people and nations disobey, fail, or are delayed. He is a God of redemption!
As the church in America, may we not miss this opportunity as those did following the end of World War II when Japan was ripe for the Gospel. May we not miss this opportunity to pray for, sow into and GO to this nation to see Japan become the blessing it is called to be to the earth. I’m in…are you?

It's Not All About You

<itunes:author>Harvest Fellowship</itunes:author>

I love when the Lord encourages me. When taking new territory, it’s always a challenge, as any pioneer, leader or pastor can tell you. Benjamin Williams of Global Awakening recently gave this word to the congregation at Harvest Fellowship during a weekend of ministry with students from the Global School of Supernatural Ministry. I’m thankful when the Lord not only confirms what He has been speaking to us, but gives us further strategies to transform our territory.
This is the prophetic Word:
“The Lord showed me some old roads. He showed me some roads that had bars across them – they were blocked by boards. These were old roads that hadn’t been traveled on. And God’s moving these barriers around. And He’s giving you the tools and the favor to go back down where other people have moved off and where other people have failed and couldn’t make it down the road.
God’s giving you the vehicle to make it back down these pathways, because you’re actually fulfilling the prayers of other people. That’s what you’re walking in in this church. There were people that years ago that you’ve never even met that were crying out for a move in this area and God picked you guys to fulfill that mantle. So there are promises that rest over this place. And it’s not just about them, it’s about you guys. It’s raising up a company of people that want to make a difference, raising up a company of people that know who they are and know how to give away who they are to others – knowing how to give the love and power of Jesus out. “
This is not only a very encouraging word, but a very humbling one. It never really just is about one person, one church or one ministry. I’m thankful for the prayers and intercessions of others that are producing the move of God that we have been experiencing. I believe that we are all going to the next level of transformation in this territory!

“Andy Rudd called a prayer time for Monday afternoon, March 28. Seven members came together to pray and seek the Lord as to how to continue to contend for His Presence in our midst. About an hour into the prayer time, the Lord asked the question: “Are you willing to lay down your life for the sake of the Gospel?” We were told and sensed that this was not just an individual question being asked of each of us - but a corporate question being asked of the entire Body. The heaviness of the question overwhelmed us as a hush settled in on the meeting. We realized this was not a question that could be answered hastily or without weighing the cost. It was a very sobering time.
As we came out of the hush - Andy said that we had just witnessed a transaction that took place in Heaven. He said he could actually see the Lord taking a scroll and writing upon it a Covenant; signing it, and then sealing it, as we said “Yes” to His question. He said we were all witnesses to this transaction and signing of this Covenant.
This was confirmed by several in the meeting through visions they had received during this time. One mentioned that she saw the transaction of a groom receiving his bride and putting the cup of wine before her to signal whether she was willing to enter into the marriage with him. Her drinking of the cup - all of the cup - signaled her acceptance.
We then felt we were to make a prophetic act and drink the cup of acceptance together.
The Presence of the Lord came in such a way that the seriousness and magnitude of the moment was unmistakable and very difficult to put into words. We all knew we had just made a commitment we were not turning back from and had witnessed something beyond us.”

At the end of this time, I reflected on the seriousness of what the Lord had asked. From the earliest moments when the Father directed us to plant this church, I knew that we must be a people with a heart for the nations. It truly is in His heart, and He continues to emphasize that to us. We must become a people who go, serve those who go, and pray for the nations to be penetrated by the Gospel of the Kingdom. It must be more than mere mental agreement. It comes with the realization that we are responsible for seeing the Gospel go to every creature! Can He send you?

WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING FOR 2011 – PART 2

<itunes:author>Harvest Fellowship</itunes:author>

As I continue to look to 2011 and what God is saying to us as a church body, I’m sharing the prophetic word God spoke through Henry Boyens on December 15, 2010. Brother Boyens is very accurate in his prophetic gifting. I watched his word given to us in December 2009 unfold with great accuracy. He has encouraged me personally in some very difficult seasons in my life over the last three years. If we believe the prophetic word, then it is time to prepare!
The word from Brother Boyens is as follows:
I saw the church, the future of the church in a vision like a road, and I saw a little bit of a dip – it’s getting easier, and then I saw heavier, more difficult. And then I saw a second vision. I saw the church like a plant that creeps, like a vine. And I saw this heavy going, this plant going up against a wall. And then I saw the plant went over the wall – and the restrictions are over, brother. I prophesy, I prophesy that just ahead – the restriction is over! And it’s a season of inflow of new people, new people, new people, new souls, new souls, new souls! And I want to say prepare for it, prepare for it. You prepare – I know you are busy preparing but I want to give you that divine instruction again tonight. You prepare for something bigger – because my son I’ve seen your heart. I know you don’t run after money. And my son you were prepared to pay the price. And yet inside you had this yearning for more but at the same time I’ve heard you cry “God, how long, how long, how long?” And son what you have done so far was not in vain. I’ve worked, I’ve molded, I’ve shaped you to be the man of God to handle more. So son it’s not been in vain, prepare for more. In finances God is still stretching your faith, in the area of finances, to trust Him. I believe there is a greater release of finances coming into your pocket and into the ministry of this church! Ok? I believe God is going to add to this church, people that’s got the money that will support your vision. I sense the process of God in your life. I like fighters because life doesn’t give us what we deserve. Life gives us what we fight for. I like that fighting spirit. We fight the enemy!

My response? Yes Lord!!!

WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING FOR 2011 PART 1

<itunes:author>Harvest Fellowship</itunes:author>

Sharing personal prophetic words can always be a little risky, in my opinion. A certain amount of vulnerability can accompany sharing publicly what a prophet has spoken in a private setting, even if it was shared in a corporate meeting. However, sometimes it’s worth it just so that people can join their faith to believe into manifestation what the Lord has decreed. After all, wasn’t Timothy admonished by Paul in 1 Timothy 1:18 to fight the good fight with prophecies that he had received?

Because of its relevance to what God is saying about Harvest Fellowship in 2011, I am sharing this prophetic word given to me by William Hohman of Merrill, Wisconsin during an Eagle’s Gathering of leaders in September of 2010. Mr. Hohman is a proven and trustworthy leader to the body of Christ and was a source of great wisdom and encouragement to all of the attendees at this gathering.

Below is a portion of the word:

“Within this next year, by the end of the school year, you’re really going to see your church start to grow. 2011 is going to be a huge growth year for your congregation. Wonderful moves of the Spirit – I’m sure you’re having them now – but more of a revival kind of spirit/presence where it’s taking hold of people, taking hold of businesses. There’s favor from businesses that are coming into your life.”
This is not the complete word, but a portion that speaks specifically of the Harvest Fellowship and 2011. In the next days I’ll share other prophetic words regarding what the Spirit is saying to us as a church. Get ready!

A Marked Man!

<itunes:author>Andy Rudd</itunes:author>

I love encounters with the Lord. His Presence can accomplish so much in just a few moments. When I encounter Him, not only do I receive impartations of grace and faith, but He usually reveals just enough that I must pursue Him even more. He likes to be pursued! When He starts speaking something, in my life it’s usually a process of Him bringing more and more revelation. This encounter is one of those times….I’m still sorting it out.

Recently I encountered Him in a night vision that I believe is marking us corporately with His purposes for this generation. I dreamt that I became drunk in the spirit and fell forward face down. As I lay there, I was aware that someone tattooed me on my lower left back. The dream was so vivid, when I woke up I knew it was a visitation. I asked the Lord “Who tattooed me?” He said “the Spirit of Elijah.”

When I shared this with my wife the next morning, her response was this: “Andy, that wasn’t a tattoo. That was a brand!”

According to Malachi 4:5, God will send Elijah the prophet before the day of the Lord. Elijah will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers. I believe the Spirit of Elijah is doing this in the earth today. Many in this generation are crying out for fathers and mothers. It is vital that the church respond to this cry; it must become reality at this moment in practical ways.

Paul wrote in I Corinthians 4:15-16 “For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. I exhort you therefore, be imitators of me.”

I know how much in my own life I have needed and continue to treasure spiritual fathers. They are a necessity. However, I feel a shift as God is calling for a new generation of spiritual fathers and mothers to arise in this hour. I know He is challenging me to love, equip, train and sow destiny and purpose into a bruised and broken generation.

At Harvest Fellowship Church and Christian School, God has given us a commission to train those who will touch nations. It’s part of our ‘spiritual DNA’. While the Christian School is obviously a big part of this vision, I believe God is in the process of expanding my vision for even more that He wants to do with and through us. I pray this will become clearer in days ahead.

Is God ‘marking’ you for this generation?

Wisdom falls on Ardmore!
Fire on you all!

We just finished the Sunday morning service in Ardmore, OK and it was INCREDIBLE! God came! He moved! His fire fell! His glory suffocated us! [Insert fiery word here!]

This morning the Lord gave Ryan and Kristy VanMeter a word about the spirit of pride that existed in the area and how we needed to handle it. Kristy said that she felt we needed to handle it by "coming in a spirit of humility." Becca Smith also received a word about not keeping in a box. It seemed we were all hearing different things, but they all came together in one big glory explosion!

During the service, there was a moment when the worship team got extremely quiet. While we were waiting on the Lord, you could feel the air in the room begin to get lighter. We began to sing, "Lord, we want You...Lord, we want You" very softly. Before you know it, we were welcoming the King into the atmosphere just as we did the night before!

As we continued to wait on Him, Ryan VanMeter had a word for the body in Ardmore. While he was giving his word, things began to intensify. The Lord's presence blanketed the room and He began to speak in such a heavy way. Ryan was speaking about coming in the spirit of humility to deal with a spirit of pride. Thinking that we know it all, feeling like we know exactly what God wants to do, can hinder what He wants to do.

After his word, the Lord began to tell me that He wanted to release perfect wisdom and fresh revelation from heaven, strategy over Pastors Andy and Jami, for the future. So I began to shout, “Wisdom, wisdom, wisdom! Fresh bread, fresh bread, fresh bread!” Little did I know, Ryan told me that just before I started shouting that, he had seen a blue light fill the room. If you didn’t know, the color blue in the positive represents WISDOM! He was pouring out the river of wisdom flowing straight from the throne into the hearts of the leaders of this body. He was doing a new thing!

Ardmore will harvest in the goodness of the Lord! Stay tuned for a video!

It’s even more challenging when God brings correction in a dream or a night vision. While correction is a word and a concept that usually has a negative connotation, the Word teaches that the Lord disciplines those He loves, and prunes us so that we may bear more fruit.

During the night of March 31 I had a dream that was very brief, but very vivid and strong. The wife of a well-known prophetic minister came to me and declared, “Your vision is too small!” When she declared this, I was standing in front of a sign with the name of the church on it – ‘Harvest Fellowship’. When she spoke the word to me, the sign immediately changed to read ‘Global Harvest Church’.

I contacted my friend Ward Coe soon afterwards. Ward and his wife Marcy are very gifted in dream interpretation. He shared the following with me:

“This is a self-condition and prophetic dream. Prophetically, the Lord is releasing new life into you. This is changing your perspective and bringing a whole new identity to you and consequently your church.”

Additionally, Ward felt that the ‘name change’ in the dream further reflected a change in our identity and spiritual DNA because of our recent alignment as a ministry with Global Awakening.

All of this challenges me to continue to ask the Lord to expand my vision and perspective so that they align with His. My constant prayer is that I pursue the Father’s heart and His agenda. May He further give us all a “Global” impartation to propel us into a place of greater fruit and effectiveness!

Days of Breakthrough Part 2

<itunes:author>Harvest Fellowship</itunes:author>

I am so thankful for the move that the Holy Spirit continues to orchestrate in South Central Oklahoma. I wrote previously about Steve Lincoln's visit in Ardmore and the good fruit it produced. Steve is the BURN Director for the UK and the founder of Eagle's Wings Ministries.

In addition to ministering at local churches, Steve joined other worshipers, intercessors and psalmists for powerful times of worship and prayer during the weekend of January 22-24. On January 22 Steve and I joined Norma Woolery at her monthly Prayer Watch in Love County which she hosts in her home. Norma has been hosting this 'Watch of the Lord' from 9pm until Midnight for several years now. She is faithfully joined by believers in the Ardmore area as well as worship teams from Glory of Zion in Denton, TX and intercessors from International Breakthrough Ministries. It's always a wonderful event worshipping and praying with this group, and this night may have been one of the richest times we had ever experienced in the Presence of God together. I believe the faithfulness of this group to pray is laying a foundation for the manifestation of the Kingdom of God in Carter and Love counties.

The next day was a day of contending together at the monthly BURN Ardmore gathering at Ardmore Christian Center for 12 hours of continuous, fiery worship. It was a day of breakthrough with one of the many highlights being ACC's own Tino Estrada and James Vincent from Glory of Zion joining Steve for an incredible set of non-stop drumming. BURN is not only a tremendous tool to see breakthrough in a region, it promotes unity among churches and ministries as well, something every city needs.

On his final day in Ardmore, Steve ministered at Harvest Fellowship. I was incredibly challenged by Steve as he told us as a ministry that we had a mandate from the Lord to bring unity to the churches in Ardmore. Honestly, that's something I'm not sure I wanted to hear. That is never an easy task! However, as the BURN Director for Ardmore it seems like a logical thing. Anything that brings a blessing I want to pursue, and true unity among believers is certainly one of those things. As Psalm 133 states, "Behold, how good and and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!...For there the Lord commanded the blessing - life forever."

There is a blessing God commands for those who will humble themselves and pursue unity. May God use all of us to pursue that end.

We are definitely in days of breakthrough in South Central Oklahoma! I am so thrilled to see what God continues to do in our region.

Harvest Fellowship was blessed to host Steve Lincoln from the UK from January 19 to the 24 as he began a six-week tour of the US. Steve is the UK BURN Director and the founder of Eagles' Wings Ministries. Steve is a prophet with an anointing for breakthrough, and that was very evident as God used him during his stay in Ardmore.

On Wednesday evening Steve ministered at Solid Rock Church which is pastored by my friend Steve Skinner. Harvest Fellowship joined this congregation for a joint service filled with worship, teaching and ministry. Throughout the evening we saw a manifestation in the natural of what I believe is happening in the heavenlies.

As the service progressed, a thick fog settled in outside, hindering visibility as the meeting was ending. However, as Steve continued ministering to people still remaining (including me....and isn't new wine awesome!), a powerful wind suddenly swept down on the church. I thought at one point the doors would blow off of the building. By the time Steve and I left, not a trace of fog remained.

Steve sees many things in the spirit, and that night he saw lots of angelic activity as we left the building. These angelic beings were pushing things away. I believe what we saw manifest in the physical realm is manifesting in the heavenlies over Ardmore and the surrounding areas. The heaviness is being forced out as a new wind of the Spirit comes rushing into our midst!

In the last month I've seen several remarkable signs in the heavenlies in our region and our state, including a 'blanket of glory' during the December BURN Preview at Harvest Fellowship (detailed in a previous blog). These things all seem to be prophetic signs that an awakening is happening and increasing!

Acts 2:17-20 says, "In the last days...I will pour out my Spirit on all people...I will show wonders in the heavens and signs on the earth below." Lord, continue to pour out your Spirit!

One ministry that I have chosen to align myself and Harvest Fellowship with is Glory of Zion in Denton, TX. Harvest Fellowship is a Church of Zion. I’ve always been strengthened by the revelation and anointing that flows from this ministry overseen by Chuck Pierce. This past weekend, Harvest Fellowship webcast ‘Starting the Year Off Right’, Glory of Zion’s annual New Year’s Conference. I attended in person a year ago, but I felt we needed to webcast from Harvest Fellowship this year in Ardmore. We did so believing a Portal of Glory would further be opened up in our region, and I believe this is happening!

In both this conference and The Head of the Year in September (Glory of Zion’s conference which celebrates the beginning of the year according to the Jewish calendar), the Holy Spirit emphasized we must ‘look again’. In this next season we must have both hearing ears AND eyes that see! God wants to increase our vision this year as He activates a Seer anointing in our lives at a new level.

Like many within the Body of Christ, I often operate freely in the seer prophetic gifting. The word for prophet in the Old Testament used most often is nahbi. This has to do mainly with declaring what someone has heard from God. However, the Spirit has also been giving further insight these last few years about the seer prophetic gifting.

The two Old Testament words used primarily to refer to a seer are ra’ah and chozeh. Ra’ah means “to see” while chozeh means a “beholder in vision.” Both Gad and Asaph were seers in King David’s court according to 2 Chronicles 29:30 and 2 Samuel 24:11-12. Seers usually see visions and dream dreams from the Lord consistently.

I believe the seer gifting is going to increase throughout the Body of Christ. Chuck Pierce declared at Starting the Year Off Right that a key to the next 10 years would be how we see! In this season may His People experience what the two disciples on the road to Emmaus experienced in Luke 24:31: “And their eyes were opened and they recognized Him.”

The BURN interns are a group of young people who have set themselves aside for a period of training in vertical worship. During a BURN internship they spend every day in intimate worship and intercession, as well as improving their musical skills and practicing practical servanthood. This particular group will be spending a month in the nation of Israel early next year, ministering to many groups of people. This was one of their first opportunities to minister together as they led prophetic worship, and it was a blessing to this region.

Earlier that day as I had been praying for the meeting, I had a vision. I saw what I can only describe as a white blanket descending from heaven, glistening with purity, covering the place. I knew God was already doing something powerful. That night God further confirmed what He was doing through our friend Bill Faught.

Bill understands and lives in the reality of seeing God manifest His Presence in order to bring breakthrough and transformation to nations. As the Preview was about to begin, my phone rang. I was literally standing in front of the assembled group opening the meeting. Because it was Bill, I answered my phone and I’m glad I did.

Bill and his wife Lynda were traveling from the Dallas area, driving north on Interstate 35. As they approached Ardmore, they saw a band or “blanket” of light covering the whole Ardmore region. This was a confirmation and a great encouragement to us as we began the Preview. God’s Presence was increasing as a blanket of Glory covered the region. This was further demonstrated as we worshipped and prayed throughout the next few hours. It was a life-changing evening!

All of this confirms to me that as God restores the tabernacle of David in South Central Oklahoma, His promises are becoming reality. Amos 9:11-12 declares,”…I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair it’s damages; I will raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom.” God is dispossessing the enemy (Edom) as He restores David’s tabernacle.

Acts 15:17 further states that God will rebuild the tabernacle of David, “…so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord who does all these things.” Not only is the enemy dispossessed in our region as this is established, but it will cause people to seek the face of the Lord!

In his book Beyond the Gates of Praise, Bill Faught writes, “The prophetic element of Davidic worship is a ground breaker and constructs a platform for a more powerful release of the Holy Spirit. Like a gigantic earth-moving machine, it dispossesses and pushes unwanted things out of the way. Then it prepares to move us to a higher place in God.”

We must further press into this realm of prophetic worship if we desire God to move us into a higher place. I’m ready to experience the blanket of His Glorious Presence as it increases and extends throughout this territory!

As those who continue to contend for the fire of the Holy Spirit to rapidly spread throughout the nations, we all owe a debt to the great cloud of heavenly witnesses that have gone before us. Their intercessions and pioneering spirit have brought us to this point in history where we are pressing into a global awakening as Heaven crashes into the earth realm. Men and women like John Wesley, Aimee Semple McPherson, Charles Finney, George Whitefield, Rees Howells and many others whose names we wouldn’t recognize, have impacted eternity with their lives. I am continually challenged by the Moravians who took up a 100-year prayer watch of night and day intercession. The prayers of that company undoubtedly continue to impact the modern prayer, worship and missions movement.

As both a pastor and a BURN director in South Central Oklahoma I often find myself in a unique position. I have a call to spiritually feed and train the saints as a pastor. But I also have a mandate from the Lord to mobilize an army of worshippers, psalmists, intercessors and musicians to release a fiery cry for Ardmore, the region, the state and the nations of the earth. Many pastors and churches don’t see how something like BURN can benefit their church because it isn’t a ‘numbers-driven’ thing. However, an awakening is probably the best way to grow the Church! An outpouring in a region will cause the Church as a whole to grow, not just one local church! Therefore, I continue to send out the call for those who will come together once a month for BURN Ardmore as we join together for fiery worship! We must become people who are Kingdom-minded!

BURN isn’t about a concert or entertainment. It’s not about one church or ministry. It’s not even about unity in the Church just for the sake of unity. It’s about ministering to the Lord in intimate worship. It’s about seeing an open heaven in our region as 24/7 worship is restored! I believe we must move past simply praying for a visitation. I want His Glory to inhabit our city and heal our land! We must join together and contend for breakthrough!

While recently attending a conference where Bill Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding, California was ministering, I heard him make a remarkable statement: “There is not a church that has continuous revelation that is not radically generous!” I was deeply impacted by the truth of this. Luke 16: 10-11 says, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. If you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?” Obviously, how we handle money has a lot to do with the amount of true riches our Heavenly Father can entrust to us – and true riches has a lot to do with more than just money.

We must always remember the Kingdom of Heaven is an upside down kingdom by earthly standards. The world defines prosperity by “how much can I get?”. On the other hand, as Christians we should have a different standard for prosperity: “How much should I give?”! Those who are truly generous can be trusted with the true riches of revelation.

I say all that in order to thank and publicly honor another church in Ardmore, Oklahoma. On November 22, Christ Community Church took up an offering in their service which they didn’t keep, but generously gave to Harvest Fellowship. Pastor Tim Lehman and Bud Webb, an elder at CCC, came and presented the offering, blessed us and prayed for us. It was a very moving time for our young church. I know it’s not the first time Christ Community has done this, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. I praise God that it is something they practice consistently, and I want to honor them for it. May we as various expressions of Christ’s Body in Ardmore, Oklahoma and the surrounding area all follow their example as those who bless and honor others in our community and beyond.

If we become believers that are radically generous, Ardmore will truly experience an open heaven and see our region transformed. Lord, let it begin in me!

After spending November 11-14 in Abilene, TX for Global Awakening’s School of Healing and Impartation, I am more convinced than ever that we as believers must see the Kingdom of God released through healings, signs and wonders. How could I not be changed after seeing hundreds of healings over the course of four days? The instructors in the school were Randy Clark, Bill Johnson, Joe McIntyre and Will Hart. Some are better known than others, but I appreciate the ministry gifts and anointing in each one of them and the impartation I received from the Spirit of God.

One of the things God has spoken prophetically over and over to Harvest Fellowship is that we are to be a place of healing – spirit, soul and body. God prophetically spoke months ago in a message through our friend Bill Faught (www.legacyofworship.com) that Harvest Fellowship would be a pool where people can even come and wash themselves from the wounds of church hurts and splits.

I believe Ardmore, OK has a calling to be a city of healing as well. I rejoice in the healing move that another church in our city, Crystalrock Cathedral, has been experiencing. As the Church as a whole in Ardmore, we must all rejoice in what God is doing in our city! Lord, let it increase! May we be people of His Presence!

As a church we have done some training in praying for the sick in our very early days. I’m thankful for the impartation I received from both Ron Sawka and Gaius Lawrence in my years in Japan that equipped me to be able to train others to move in the prophetic and miracles. However, we as a body must press in even more to see this happen and create a culture of healing. Jesus said in Luke 9:23, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” As anyone who has ever pursued this calling knows, there is a price involved in praying for the sick.

If you are willing to pursue this with me, our training on Wednesday nights is going to shift from prophetic ministry to raising up healing teams. I believe it has been essential these last months that we have spent time learning to flow in the gifts of the Spirit. Now is the time to build on that foundation so that we can, like Paul, fully preach the Gospel of Christ in the power of signs and wonders, in the Power of the Spirit (Romans 15:18-19).

When is the right time to begin training children? Five years old? Ten years? Sixteen? Do we wait until our kids are teenagers before we expect them to start pursuing the things of God? As always, scripture should be our guide! Isaiah 28:9 says, “Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from milk, and drawn from the breast.”

Just how old is that? Weaning varies from child to child and culture to culture, but a good average might be about one year old. Therefore, from the time a child is about one year old, he should be exposed to and taught about “knowledge” and “doctrine.” Knowledge refers to life in general, whereas doctrine has to do with the things of God.

Obviously, training must first and foremost begin in the home with parents. However, many well-meaning Christian parents believe children should be exposed to both good and evil in public school systems. While this sounds good in theory, it’s actually Humanism and contradicts what scripture teaches. Romans 16:19 states “…I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.” God’s Word instructs us not to expose children to what is evil, but rather train them in the way they should go. Sadly, this is not the philosophy of secular educators.

The idea of exposing children to good and evil, truth and error, right and wrong, so that they can make their own decisions, is not a new tactic of Satan. It’s the same false philosophy he originated in the Garden of Eden when he told Adam and Eve “…God knows when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 2:5). God never wanted Adam and Eve to experience evil; He wanted them to eat of the tree of life (Genesis 2: 9, 17)! In the same manner, children don’t have to be exposed to evil to live successful lives. Believing that is the bitter fruit of Humanism.

The original text in this verse literally says, “…while he is growing old, he will not depart from it.” Therefore, the promise is not for wayward children to return; rather it is a promise that if a child is trained and taught, he will not depart as he continuously grows!

It’s important to remember that like most promises in the Bible, this is conditional. In order to receive the promise, a commandment must be obeyed. This is a principal repeated over and over in the Word of God. Deuteronomy 28 is one of the most famous examples, promising that blessings will literally overtake those who obey the Lord (v. 1-14). The same thing is true of Proverbs 22:6. Training is the commandment that must be obeyed for the promise to manifest! Unfortunately many times in our culture, we claim the promises before obeying the instructions. Read the instructions first! It usually makes the process much easier.

Ultimately it is an individual’s choice whether or not he will fully commit his life to Jesus. Sometimes people will walk away no matter how good a job a parent has done. However, training and instructing a child in righteousness certainly improves the odds that a child will seek God all his life.

So how exactly do we train children not to depart from the faith and when do we begin? That’s coming in part two!

Still unable to sleep, I continued listening to the voice of the Lord. I began to hear one word – ‘Sivan’. I didn’t know the meaning of this word, but I knew it sounded Hebrew in origin. As I pondered the meaning of Sivan, I heard the Lord say “It’s linked to harvest.”

I searched on the internet and what I found astounded me. Sivan is a month in the Hebrew calendar that is linked to the Feast of Pentecost – a celebration of the harvest in the Old Testament that also includes thanksgiving for God’s provision of the Word and the Holy Spirit. Not only was God speaking to me about vision for the ministry of Harvest Fellowship, but He was giving a time frame in which we were to begin – Pentecost of 2008. We must be people who know the times and seasons!

My biggest concern at this point wasn’t how to begin this, but what my wife Jami would think! We had long resisted the thought of living in Ardmore but God brought us back from Japan with great confirmation and direction that this area was destined for a move of the Spirit. The thought of starting a church in South Central Oklahoma was more difficult than moving back to my hometown. I dreaded telling Jami when she woke up.

In the morning I brought up the delicate subject with the statement “You’ll never believe what God spoke to me in the night!” To my great surprise, Jami said “You’ll never believe the dream I had!”

‘In my dream, I was sweeping the house when a couple of relatives arrived, followed by other people. I realized I needed to feed them something so I rushed to the refrigerator. When I opened it, I was surprised to find it was full of dishes that had already been prepared. As I took the food out, I noticed more people were streaming into the house, so I rushed back to get more food. I opened the refrigerator and it was once again completely full of food. It was

constantly filled fresh every time I opened the door for more food. I continued to do this because more and more people kept pouring into the house.

Finally, I opened the door and the food was gone. I looked out the window of our house, and to my surprise and relief, people were coming up the driveway carrying more dishes of food! At this point I sat down and they began to serve what they brought.’

I believe God was clearly speaking that spiritually hungry people needed to be fed, and that there is a great harvest of these people that are coming. Also, He was going to use not only us, but He would raise up others in this place that feed and impart to others as well. I’ve further seen in these last days that this is the blessing of Pentecost – thankfulness for God’s provision for the past season, but His faithfulness to provide in the next season as well. I believe the church in this region is only beginning to see what is in the Father’s heart for the future of our territory.

Greatly encouraged by the Spirit’s direction and confirmation, we sought counsel from several spiritual fathers and leaders. They encouraged us to pursue what the Lord was directing us to do.

We have been privileged in our first year to see God begin something that will not only impact this city and region, but the nations of the earth as well. We rejoice in His promises and His Goodness as He is fulfilling everything He said He would do.
